Janet B. Landsberg, 81, Of Rhinebeck

RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- Janet B. Landsberg, of Rhinebeck and a former Red Hook resident, died on Thursday, March 30. She was 81.

Born on July 14, 1935, in Yonkers, Janet was the daughter of the late Warren R. and Bernice (Diem) Landsberg. A nurse all her life, she worked as a surgical tech and a scrub nurse for Dr. Van Ness in Hudson, and at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston, Columbia Memorial in Hudson, Vassar Brother's Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, and Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. She retired in July of 1997. 

She was also a member of AARP and the NRA. She was well known for her knitting, crocheting and her homemade wine.

She is survived by two sons, James R. (Pam) Stagias of Elizaville, and William G. (Kelly) Stagias of Elizaville, three grandchildren, James Joseph Stagias of Elizaville, Samantha Sharron Stagias of Elizaville, and Victoria Lynn Stagias of Scarborough, ME.

Funeral services and interment will be private.
