Brandon A. Riccobono, 18, was charged in the 2015 hit-and-run death of Feller, 20, of Clinton Corners. He was sentenced to two years in the Dutchess County Jail, said the Poughkeepsie Journal.

But the guilty plea and sentencing did little to comfort Feller's parents, Jill Whearty Feller and Dennis Feller Jr., who said it did not bring closure to the family, added the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Feller was killed on On July 6, 2015, when Riccobono and a friend met with him to buy marijuana, but fled the scene without paying. Feller tried to stop Riccobono's vehicle, but was run over, said the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Feller, a 2013 graduate of Hyde Park's Franklin D. Roosevelt High School, attended Dutchess Community College, added the Poughkeepsie Journal.
