Authorities are asking the public's help in the search for a 21-year-old Hudson Valley woman who has been missing for a week.

Halle P. Schmidt of Copake in Columbia County was last seen on Friday, Sept. 2 in Greenport. She was reported missing by her family on Sunday.

She is 5-foot-7, weighs around 125 pounds and has blonde hair, green eyes and is lighted skinned. She was last seen wearing a blue shirt, a blue Lacoste baseball hat with an alligator logo, black jeans and blue converse sneakers.

Schmidt’s brother, Kyle Schmidt, told WTEN-TV that it's not in Halle's nature to disappear and the family has been having sleepless nights the last week.

Anyone with any information should immediately call the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office at or 518-828-3344 or 518-828-4316.
