RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- Police are investigating the sudden death of a man who was bicycling at Ferncliff Forest in Rhinebeck on Sunday.

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office could not give out any details late Sunday afternoon, such as the man’s identity, cause of death, or who found him.

Sheriff's officials told the Poughkeepsie Journal that the man apparently had had an unknown medical emergency.

Assisting at the scene were firefighters and paramedics, the Poughkeepsie Journal story said.

An autopsy is being conducted by the medical examiner’s office, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.

This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.
