The bridge, east of the Taconic State Parkway between Clinton Corners Road (County Road 13) and State Route 82 over the East Branch of the Wappinger Creek, needs replacement due to significant structural deficiencies.

Project work includes the replacement of the existing bridge and abutments as well as the approach pavement and the addition of new bridge rail.

The bridge averages more than 200 vehicles per day. Hibernia Road will remain closed to through traffic, and a detour route will be posted. Residents will continue to have access to their properties along Hibernia Road throughout the construction process. Project work is anticipated to be completed in the fall.

Motorists are advised to plan for additional time and to exercise extra caution on the detour route, obey the posted speed limits, traffic advisory signs, and the directions from flaggers in the work zone to ensure the safety of workers and other motorists.
