Hecht came in second place in the competition which premiered at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21. The episode will be rerun on June 30 at 9 p.m., according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Aside from his strong performance, Hecht did some trailblazing on the show being the first rabbi and the first person to cook kosher. The episode had a religious theme as the rabbi competed with a priest, nun-in-training and pastor. Hecht has previously guest taught at the Culinary Institute of America in the Hudson Valley, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
