Dutchess County has become quite the craft beer bar scene, stepping up its suds game and offering residents a host of “hoppy” options. We asked for the best in the county; you gave us your picks. Now, four finalists are competing in our “DVlicious Best Craft Beer Bar in Dutchess County” contest. Each is being profiled this week.
Raise your glass and drink in the following; then click on your favorite. You can vote multiple times, albeit once per day.
Voting ends 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24. The winner will receive a framed DVlicious certificate as well as the pride in knowing it has raised the bar in Dutchess.
Daughters Fare & Ale, Red Hook
Number of Craft Beers: Six rotating taps and a cooler of packaged offerings.
Why It’s Liquid Gold: Small, but well-curated, there is always something "new to try" at this establishment where numerous choices include Other Half, Barrier, Suarez Family Brewery, Mystic, Oxbow, Maine Beer Co., Threes, Half Acre, Sloop, From The Ground, Alesmith, Modern Times, The Bruery, and Lost Nation. A staff member said it is "one of the only places to get fresh Other Half cans besides at the brewery in Brooklyn." "Food is awesome, the beer is fresh and interesting and the staff is knowledgable and nice," she said.
