RHINEBECK, N.Y. – Fighting crime can get ugly at times, but at least one upholder of the law took the time to share some of the beauty in the world.

An unidentified state trooper paused from his or her duties on Sunday to snap a shot of a beautiful, spring morning rainbow.

The image was posted on the New York State Police Facebook page.

It drew numerous comments from folks who thanked the troopers for not only noticing the rainbow and sharing it but for their service as well.

Many of the messages ended with a heartfelt “God bless,” or “Stay safe out there.”
