The winemakers have scheduled a "Wags to Vintage" weekend on May 6-7 that is geared toward dog lovers.

The two-day event will bring together wine and dogs and begin with a VIP tasting reception from 6-8 p.m. on Friday May 6. Tickets to that event cost $100 each and include champagne and wine tasting, locally sourced hors d'oeuvres and music.

On Saturday, May 7, the vineyard will open its grounds to the dogs, allowing pets to join their owners for another tasting from noon - 6 p.m.

While the humans will again sample wine and champagne - not to mention Aba's Falafels - the dogs will have the opportunity to sample organic dog treats at the doggie tasting bar. Tickets to Saturday's event cost $45 each.

For more information or to purchase tickets, call 845-452-7722 ex. 427 or visit the Dutchess County SPCA's website.
