DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra will highlight its 10th anniversary season by premiering "Walkway Over the Hudson," an original symphonic work by New York-based artist, Ben Kutner, 24.

The work, which was commissioned by Inline image 1NDSO, will be performed under the direction of Kathleen Beckmann.

Show time is scheduled for 8 p.m. Saturday, April 2 in The Culinary Institute America's Marriott Pavilion in Hyde Park, NJ.

In recognition of the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service, the orchestra will also present Ferde Grofé’s "Grand Canyon Suite."

Both works are to be accompanied by images of the bridge and canyon projected on a screen behind the orchestra.

Photos of the bridge have been selected from thousands taken over the span of 23 years by Poughkeepsie attorney Fred Schaffer.

Tickets for the concert are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and $5 for students. They can be purchased online or by calling 845-635-0877.
