The festival runs to Sunday and includes pre- and post-performance conversations at the venue, Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at the college.
The "Fantastique" festival theme, inspired by Puccini compositions, is a collaborative performance with John Heginbotham whose copany dancers will perform, and Amy Trompetter, a puppeteer, whose life-size puppets will join the in the ballet.
The performers join forces to create a fable of a battle of light and darkness, with a fantastical cast of characters featuring giant babies, blue angels, devils, rats, and a restaurant where the customers are tuxedo-wearing fish.
Here is the festival schedule:- Friday, July 1, Opening Night Reception for Friends of the Fisher Center
- Saturday, July 2 Post-Performance Conversation
- Sunday, July 3 Pre-Performance Talk at 1 p.m.
