Cumming is a stage, television and film star. The Tony Award-winner ("Cabaret") and Emmy nominee ("The Good Wife") will talk with WAMC’s Joe Donahue about his new collection of autobiographical essays.
Cumming's essays are real-life stories of late-night parties, backstage anecdotes, life in Los Angeles and New York, cross-country road trips with his dog, and memories of his life, loves, family, fellow actors and friends, said a release.
Stories include such encounters as his awkwardly entertaining Elizabeth Taylor at Carrie Fisher’s birthday party, discussing love and sex with Gore Vidal and making a friend’s dream come true by snapping a photo of him with Oprah — a story that also reveals the source of the book’s title.
The book is illustrated with Cumming's photos.
After the interview, Cumming will take questions from the audience, followed by a book signing.
The event at 3 p.m. will be in Sosnoff Theater, Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts, Bard College, Annandale-on-Hudson.
