Multi-Million Tax Break For Lego Land Owner Gets Green Light GOSHEN, N.Y. – The Orange County Industrial Development Agency unanimously approved a 20-year, $88.64 million payment-in-lieu-of-taxes proposal for the owner of Legoland on Thursday, according to the Times Herald-Record.  Merlin Entertainments, Legoland's parent company will pay  $10.3 million to Orange County, $11.65 million to the Town of Goshen, $60.56 million to Goshen schools and $5.73 million to the fire department over 20 years. Female Motorcyclist Killed Tuxedo Crash On Route 17 TUXEDO, N.Y. – A female motorcyclist was killed in a four-vehicle accident on Route 17 in Tuxedo on Sunday, according to the Times Herald-Record.  The accident happened just after noon when a Chevy Equinox traveling northbound on Route 17 was rear-ended causing the SUV to spin into the southbound lane. The Equinox then crashed into a Honda Accord and a female riding a Harley Davidson, the Record reported.  The woman riding the Harley died of her injuries. Six Charged By New Windsor Police In Prostitution, Drug Investigation NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. – A two-month investigation into drugs and prostitution at two area motels resulted in six arrests in New Windsor on Wednesday, according to the New Windsor Police Department.  Search warrants were executed at the Windsor Motel and Galaxy Motor Inn. Three females were charged with prostitution and misdemeanor drug charges.
