In an announcement on Friday, Oct. 25, MTA officials said Metro-North Railroad would implement extra services on the Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven lines during the World Series games at Yankee Stadium on Monday, Oct. 28 (Game 3), Tuesday, Oct. 29 (Game 4), and if necessary, Wednesday, Oct. 30 (Game 5).
Officials detailed the following extra services for each line:
Hudson Line:
- Eight trains from Poughkeepsie and Croton-Harmon will make game-day stops at Yankees-East 153rd Street to drop off fans;
- Two extra trains will operate express to the stadium from Croton-Harmon and Ossining. They will depart Croton-Harmon at 3:54 p.m. and 4:16 p.m. and arrive at Yankees-East 153rd Street station at 4:38 p.m. and 4:54 p.m.
- After the game, eight Hudson Line trains to Croton-Harmon and Poughkeepsie will make extra stops at Yankee Stadium to take fans home;
- There will be two extra Poughkeepsie express trains and two extra Croton-Harmon local trains.
Harlem Line:
- A Yankee Clipper train to the stadium will depart Southeast at 4:26 p.m. and arrive at the game at 5:49 p.m. It will make stops at Brewster, Goldens Bridge, Mount Kisco, Chappaqua, North White Plains, White Plains, Hartsdale, Scarsdale, Crestwood, and Bronxville;
- After the game ends, a Yankee Clipper train from the stadium will make all stops between Mount Vernon West and Southeast.
- Harlem Line passengers will also be able to ride any regularly scheduled Harlem Line train to Harlem-125th Street station and transfer to a frequent shuttle train for a five-minute ride to the stadium.
New Haven Line:
- Two Yankee Clipper trains will leave New Haven at 4:07 p.m. and 4:47 p.m. and arrive at Yankee Stadium at 6:08 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. They will both stop at West Haven, Milford, Stratford, Bridgeport, Fairfield-Black Rock, Fairfield, Westport, South Norwalk, Darien, Noroton Heights, Stamford, Greenwich, Rye, Larchmont, and New Rochelle;
- After the game ends, two New Haven trains will operate express to Stamford and then all stops to New Haven; one New Haven train will make all stops between Mount Vernon East and New Haven; and one Stamford local train will make all stops between Mount Vernon East and Stamford;
- New Haven Line passengers can also ride any regularly scheduled New Haven Line train to Harlem-125th Street station and transfer to a frequent shuttle train for a five-minute ride to the stadium.
Additionally, shuttles and regularly-scheduled trains will also operate between Grand Central Terminal, Harlem-125th Street, and Yankees East 153rd Street which will connect with regularly scheduled Harlem and New Haven Line trains and provide service for those connecting at Grand Central from Long Island Rail Road trains via Grand Central Madison.
