14-Year-Old Riding Motorbike Killed In Crash With Plow Truck In Stony Point
A 14-year-old boy who was involved in a crash with a plow truck in the Hudson Valley has died from his injuries. The accident occurred in Rockland County around 2:50 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 13 in the area of N. Liberty Drive and Wayne Avenue in Stony Point. According to Lt. Greg Becker, the teen was riding a motorbike when he collided with a privately owned plow truck. The victim was treated at the scene by Rockland Paramedics and Stony Point Ambulance Corp, and then transported to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, where he died on Wednesday, Feb. 14, Becker said. On the third anniversary of the shooting death of a 19-year-old, police in Rockland County are looking for the public's help in finding those responsible. Ramapo Police are actively investigating the shooting death of Nicholas Jasiel, of Nanuet, on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, on Dwight Avenue in Hillcrest. A Westchester County man has been indicted on multiple hate crime charges for allegedly punching an elderly Asian woman more than 125 times. An 18-year-old from Northern Westchester who admitted to stabbing two teenagers, one of whom died during a fight that started on social media, will spend time in prison, the District Attorney’s Office announced. Peekskill resident Matthew Torres has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter and assault earlier this year. Police Investigating Shooting Of Two Men During West Haverstraw Gathering
Police are investigating a shooting that injured two men during a large gathering in West Haverstraw. The incident took place around 10 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 15, outside of 25 East Railroad Ave., said Haverstraw Police Capt. Martin Lund.
