Miller, age 85, of Tuscon, Arizona was charged with manslaughter in Ulster County on Friday, Feb. 2 in connection with the Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023 death in Kingston. Suspect With Criminal History Nabbed For Smash-Grab Burglary At Hudson Valley Store, Police Say A man with a history of smashing his way into Hudson Valley businesses is once again behind bars for allegedly breaking into a smoke shop. In Ulster County, police in Saugerties were called at around 7:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, with reports of a commercial burglar alarm at the Smokers Choice store, located on Ulster Avenue. When police arrived, they found that someone had shattered the front glass door out, police said. A search of the store found it was empty. Bicyclist Dies After Being Hit, Pinned Beneath Vehicle In Area, Police Say A bicyclist was killed after being struck by and pinned underneath a vehicle in the area. The incident took place around 8:10 p.m., Tuesday, July 20, when a 57-year-old Albany man, was riding southbound on Washington Avenue, heading toward Schwenk Drive, in Kingston, when he was hit by a vehicle, said authorities. Responding officers attempted to extricate the man from underneath the vehicle but were unsuccessful, the Kingston Police said. Nine People Busted For DWI In Rockland New York State Police arrested numerous people over the weekend in DWI incidents in Orange, Dutchess and Rockland counties. Orange County:  Walter Post, 22, of Wallkill, was charged with DWI on Friday after being stopped for a traffic violation on Route 208 in the Village of Walden.  Edward Bordas, 30, of Newburgh, was charged with DWI following a stop on Route 52 Friday in the town of Newburgh.
