World War II Era Letter In Bottle Discovered By Woman During Tropical Storm Debby Shortly after Debby made landfall along Florida's west coast as a Category 1 hurricane earlier this month, it produced something no forecaster — or anyone else — could have predicted. Suzanne Flament Smith, age 46, of Tampa, discovered it on Wednesday, Aug. 7, in the form of a World War II-era artifact. She said she found it while collecting debris in the city of Safety Harbor. It was a bottle sealed by a cork. Inside was a handwritten letter from a location in Virginia over 800 miles away near Virginia Beach. That means the family-owned supermarket chain based in Rochester, will open its 100th store in 2019. 5-Year-Old Hudson Valley Boy Goes Missing Police are asking for help in locating a 5-year-old boy missing from the City of Poughkeepsie who may have been snatched by his father. Noah J. Cruz was last seen on Feb. 16 at a local pizza restaurant with his paternal grandmother. According to the state's Missing Persons Clearinghouse, he was last seen wearing a black shirt, gray jacket, black sweatpants and black Nike sneakers. The Clearinghouse said the child may still be in Poughkeepsie or the Middletown area with his father, 27-year-old Dochelle D. Cruz.
