Former HS Athlete In Northern Westchester Dies Suddenly At Age 28 A 28-year-old former high school athlete has died suddenly at her home in Westchester. Christina P. Carpenito, age 28, of Valhalla, died Tuesday, Nov. 2 at her residence.  Known as being a talented singer and talented artist, she attended Valhalla High School and was a member of the varsity volleyball team. Carpenito was born on Oct. 24, 1993, to Michael and Jeanne P. (Feeney) Carpenito in White Plains. She is survived by her father, Michael Carpenito, her mother, Jeanne P. Westchester Students Join Fight Against Gun Violence Local students are getting involved in the national student-run movement to end gun violence. A national walkout and march, organized by survivors of the rampage last week at a school in Florida, have now been scheduled for next month. There will be a national school walkout day to protest gun violence on Wednesday, March 14. A march is also planned for Washington, D.C., where students will push for stronger gun laws on Saturday, March 24. Valhalla HS Grad Aaron 'AJ' Dannenbring Dies At Age 20 Lifelong Westchester resident Aaron Joseph Dannenbring, who lived in Valhalla and Hawthorne, died suddenly on Wednesday, Jan. 30 in Valhalla. He was a sophomore economics student at Binghamton University.  Vibrant and fun-loving, AJ loved hanging out with friends, working out at the gym, playing video games and D&D, and snowmobiling in winter with his dad and brother.  He had a sense of adventure and took a semester off to live in Japan where he worked on an organic farm, where he also developed a passion for anime.
