New Area Code To Be Rolled Out In Parts Of Rockland County: Here Are The 3 Digits A new area code is coming to the region and may be assigned to new phone numbers sooner than expected.  Earlier Report - New Area Code For Hudson Valley Gets Approval Because the region currently covered by the 845 area code is rapidly running out of new possible phone numbers that can be assigned to customers, a new area code was announced in April 2022 by the New York State Public Service Commission.  The new code has since been revealed to be 329, and will be put into use in the following counties that currently use the 845 code:  Columbia; Delaware; Dutchess; Greene; Orange; Putnam;…

The New York State Public Service Commission announced that on Long Island, Nassau County will soon have a second area code, as 363 joins the traditional 516 and Suffolk County’s 631 and 934. Officials said the new area code will be available for residents and businesses in the second quarter of 2023, though customers in the existing 516 area code will be unaffected by the change.
