The incident took place in Rockland County around 4:45 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20 in Orangeburg. According to Capt. Michael Shannon, of the Orangetown Police, officers responded to the intersection of West Orangeburg Road and Lester Drive and found a crash between a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2017 Subaru Impreza. Fire Breaks Out At Popular Rockland Restaurant A fire at a popular area restaurant was quickly extinguished by firefighters. The blaze began in Rockland County around at 9:39 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 6, at Bailey's Smokehouse on East Erie Street in Blauvelt, said the Blauvelt Volunteer Fire Company. Firefighters responded to a report of a kitchen/chimney fire at the restaurant but discovered once on the scene that the air conditioning unit on the roof was the source of the fire. The Orangetown Police Department responded to a working house fire on Glynn Oval in Blauvelt just before 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16.  Numerous homeowners on Glynn Oval observed a large amount of smoke coming from a neighbor's attic vent, police said. Brush Fire Burns Through Orangeburg For Hours More than seven fire departments spent several hours battling a brush fire in Orangeburg after police received a report of "an odor of smoke" in the area, according to the Orangetown Police. The call came in around 4:51 p.m. Wednesday reporting the smell near Tweed Boulevard on Clausland Mountain where responding officers found flames in the area of southwest Nike Lane, said Orangetown Sgt.
