Rockland HS Grad Goes Missing After Leaving Apartment Police are asking the public for help after a 29-year-old Spring Valley High School graduate disappeared on Friday, Jan. 6, and hasn't been seen since. Jordan Taylor, of Queens, disappeared after leaving his apartment around 5:30 a.m., according to the New York City Police.  Taylor, who is described as being 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds, was last seen wearing a black coat, black pants, and black Vans sneakers. The fight took place in Rockland County in Spring Valley around 2:10 p.m., Friday, April 29 at Spring Valley High School. Ramapo Police Department Mourns Death Of Retired Lieutenant The Ramapo Police Department is mourning the loss of one of its retired lieutenants. Lieutenant William Starkey passed away on Thursday, April 8, surrounded by his daughters and wife. He was 82 years old.  Starkey, a Spring Valley native, served with the department from December of 1966 to January of 2006.  "Bill is credited with developing our Firearms Training Unit," the department said. This week, the Department of Education announced a new list of 370 schools that need improvement, including schools in East Ramapo and North Rockland.
