Hudson Valley Man Charged With Cocaine Sales By Drug Task Force A Hudson Valley man has been charged with allegedly selling cocaine following a raid by a drug task force.  The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force began an investigation several months ago related to dangerous drug sales in the city of Beacon.  As a result of this investigation, the Drug Task Force identified Jerami Davis, age 34, of Beacon, as a person alleged to be selling cocaine, said Det. Two Nabbed With Defaced Gun In North Rockland Traffic Stop, Police Say A man and a woman were arrested by state police for allegedly possessing a defaced gun that was found during a traffic stop. The arrests took place on Wednesday, July 21, when troopers stopped a 2006 Volkswagen Passat on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Rockland County in the town of Stony Point for a vehicle and traffic law violation.  An investigation after the stop revealed the occupants of the vehicle were in possession of an illegally defaced loaded Taurus Model P2-22 handgun, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Rockland Duo Nabbed For Stealing Items From Local Retail Store Two men were nabbed early in the morning for allegedly stealing numerous items from a local retail store. Rampo Police arrested the pair of 28-year-old Spring Valley residents on Tuesday, Dec. 31, after receiving a call from the store of a larceny in progress, police said. The caller told officers that the two men allegedly stole numerous items from the store shelves and displays, Ramapo Police reported. Woman Nabbed For Heroin Possession, Driving With Suspended License In Area, Police Say A 27-year-old area woman was arrested for alleged possession of heroin and driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop. Mariah Candelario, of Late Katrine, was arrested around 10 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 16, following a stop by an Ulster County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit, said Det. Lt. Abram Markiewicz. An investigation during the stop allegedly found heroin and that Candelario's license had been suspended, police said. Seven Nabbed In Area Narcotics, Prostitution Detail Shortly after six arrests were announced in a prostitution bust in Rockland County, officials in Orange County disclosed results of a prostitution and narcotics enforcement detail that resulted in seven arrests. The Middletown Police Department’s Narcotics Unit made the arrests on Thursday, June 21 in conjunction with state police and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force. Seen Him? Alert Issued For Wanted Rockland Burglary Suspect Ramapo Police are asking the public for help in locating a man wanted for several crimes, ranging from burglary to harassment.  Mark A. Jones, 28, committed the crimes at different times recently and include charges of burglary; petit larceny; circumvention of an interlock device; possession of a controlled substance; obstructing governmental administration (two counts); harassment, and for traffic and vehicle violations, Ramapo police said. Anyone with information pertaining to Mark Jones’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Town of Ramapo Police at 845-357-2400.
