Paul Piperato, 61, Rockland County's Clerk, was known for his love of the county and his support of local organizations, died Wednesday morning, May 5, at home. Rockland County Welcomes 127 New Citizens It was an exciting day for 127 people as they were sworn in as "official" United States citizens during a ceremony at the Fire Training Center in Pomona. The group took the Oath of Office on Friday as it was administered by Rockland County Clerk Paul Piperato during a naturalization ceremony. "Congratulations my fellow Americans and welcome to our great country," said Rockland County Executive Ed Day.
