Man Found Shot In Area Not Cooperating With Detectives, Police Say Newburgh Police found a man shot after the victim banged on the door of an area residence pleading for help. The victim was discovered at an area hospital around 12:45 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 9, when police responded to multiple calls for shots fired in the area of South Lander Street and Courtney Avenue in Newburgh. Upon arrival, officers canvassed the area but found nothing. The incident took place in Orange County around 11:30 p.m., Monday, June 8, in the City of Newburgh. According to City of Newburgh Police Det. Sgt. Teen On Parole Nabbed With Gun In Area, Police Say An 18-year-old Orange County teen was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon after running from police when they attempted to speak with him. Savion L. Knight, of Newburgh, was arrested on Sunday, Feb. 2, when the City of Newburgh Police noticed a group of men standing on the corner of South Lander and Overlook Place, said Newburgh Police Det. Sgt.
