West Nile Virus Detected In Mosquitoes In Rockland County Two pools of mosquitos in Rockland County have tested positive for West Nile Virus, the Department of Health is cautioning. Infected mosquitoes were collected from traps in Orangetown and Clarkstown during the week of Monday, June 21, marking the first confirmed cases of West Nile in Rockland this summer.
