Motorcyclist Injured In Route 17 Crash A New York motorcyclist survived an overnight crash on Route 17 in Waldwick, authorities said. The 52-year-old Orange County resident from Middletown victim lost control of the motorcycle on the northbound highway just north of Sheridan Avenue shortly before 2 a.m., Police Chief Mark Messner said. “No other vehicles were involved and at that time and the conditions were clear and dry,” Messner said. Firefighters Douse Blaze At Waldwick Auto Repair Shop WALDWICK, N.J. -- Firefighters quickly put down a blaze at a Waldwick auto repair shop late Tuesday afternoon. The two-alarm blaze broke out at J & J Auto Maintenance on Hopper Avenue around 4:30 p.m. Firefighters quickly had it under control.
