Trooper Injured After Being Hit On Tappan Zee Bridge By Alleged Drunk Driver
A New York State Police trooper is recovering after his patrol vehicle was struck by an alleged drunk driver on the new Tappan Zee Bridge. The crash happened at around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, as the trooper was parked on the southbound shoulder running radar checks, according to State Police. That’s when his marked police vehicle was reportedly struck from behind by Westchester County resident Linda Kramer, age 50, of Tuckahoe. A community college teacher in the Hudson Valley is facing charges after being busted for a fraudulent COVID-19 vaccination card, the District Attorney announced. In Westchester, Mount Vernon resident Sonya Tarter Wilson, age 50, a former Westchester County Community College assistant teacher was arraigned after allegedly altering a COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card to obtain a full-time position at the school. Police have arrested a music teacher for allegedly having young students dress up in high heels as he photographed them. The arrest of Putnam County resident Stanley Indig, age 67, of Brewster, took place in Westchester County in Greenburgh after Greenburgh Police received a call from a resident on Tuesday, July 20 reporting the alleged misconduct, said Sgt. Two Nabbed For Drag Racing On Central Avenue In Greenburgh, Police Say
Two street racers were nabbed by police after their vehicles became disabled from a crash as they fled from police in Westchester. The incident took place on Monday, March 15, when the Greenburgh Police Department officers the two vehicles were initially spotted drag racing on North Central Park Avenue headed southbound, said Lt. A 50-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing and robbing another man in Westchester. The incident took place around 9 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, when the Greenburgh Police responded to the area of 47 Tarrytown Road for a report of a stabbing, said Det. Sgt. Daniel Massett. A suspect in an early morning armed robbery is behind bars after he was apprehended by a SWAT team in a wooded area in Westchester.
