Avoid The Area: Water Main Breaks In Valley Cottage Motorists are being asked to avoid Mountainview Avenue in Valley Cottage due to a water main break. Officials said the break occurred around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday in the vicinity of the pond and Christian Herald Road. Suez water has been contacted to repair the break before icing can occur, police said. The road is open, but Clarkstown Police remind motorists that conditions can become dangerous and icy very quickly.  This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.
