The agency said it inspected the stone-mining quarry in August after receiving numerous complaints including noise, dust from the processing plant, mud being discharged into the Hudson River and more, reported lohud.com.

Inspectors found seven violations, including the discharge of mud and sand to the Hudson River and failure of dust control. Dean Bender, a Tilcon spokesman, said in a statement that the company has "addressed every one of the alleged violations outlined in the DEC document," added lohud.com.
