Rockland Receives New Foam-Based Firefighting Tools

NORTH ROCKLAND, N.Y. -- Two new firefighting trailers used for major fuel-fed blazes now have a home in Rockland County, according to County Executive Ed Day.

Day joined the Office of Fire and Emergency Services Director Gordon Wren and Assistant Director Dan Greeley for a demonstration of two new foam-based firefighting trailers, used to battle major fuel-fed blazes, seen typically in rail accidents. 

 "This new apparatus will allow our first responders to provide better service with advanced firefighting technology that will benefit the residents and visitors of Rockland County," he said.
