'School of Rock' Hits Stage In Thiells This Weekend

HAVERSTRAW, N.Y. -- Two performances of the musical “School of Rock” will be put on in Thiells this weekend.

Friday was opening night, but there are two more shows at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the North Rockland High School, 106 Hammond Road.

It is being sponsored by the Rockland Theatre Company and the Haverstraw Police Athletic League. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors.

The stage production is based on the 2003 movie that starred Jack Black. Its book by written by Julian Fellowes and its lyrics by Glenn Slater. Its music is by Andrew Lloyd Webber, with original songs from the film.
