Hudson Valley Man Nabbed With Defaced Semi-Auto Pistol, Police Say A Hudson Valley man has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon found during a traffic stop. Dutchess County resident Davis A. Weir. age 33, of Hyde Park, was arrested on Sunday, Aug. 13 around 6:30 p.m., in the area of Violet Avenue and Yates Avenue in Hyde Park.  According to Hyde Park Police Robert Benson, when officers stopped Weir for speeding they could see a handgun on the driver's side floorboard. Weir, who was the only person in the vehicle, denied ownership of the loaded .380 semi-automatic pistol which was defaced, and did not have a legal state pistol permit, Benson …

Suspect Nabbed After Investigation Of Drug Sales At Area Motel A Hudson Valley man has been arrested for drug sales at an area motel following an investigation. The Dutchess County Drug Task Force arrested Christopher J. Norris, age 39, of Hyde Park, on Tuesday, March 15, in connection with an investigation into drug sales out of a local motel in Hyde Park. Man Charged With Criminal Contempt After Wife Found Dead At Area Motel A 50-year-old man who violated a protection order is behind bars after his wife was found dead at an area motel, according to police. The death of 38-year-old Jennifer C. Minihane is being investigated by Hyde Park Police detectives and the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s office. The results of an autopsy are not complete.
