Violent Gang Members Nabbed Stealing From Hudson Valley Home Depots, Police Say Three men who are part of a violent street gang have been charged with stealing thousands of dollars of merchandise from Home Depot stores on several occasions in the Hudson Valley. The three men, all from Brooklyn, were busted in Dutchess County around 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29 in the village of Wappingers Falls. 1-Year-Old Boy, Woman Killed In Horrific Two-Vehicle Route 9 Crash A 1-year-old infant and a 48-year-old woman were killed in a two-vehicle crash on a busy stretch of Route 9. The crash took place around 3:30 p.m., Monday, March 1, on Route 9 in Wappingers Falls, in the area of New Hackensack Road, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.  An initial investigation revealed a 2017 Honda CRV, driven by Loraine Baker, age 48, of Poughkeepsie, was southbound on Route 9 and rear-ended a southbound 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer, Hicks said. Ketcham High School graduate and artist, was murdered after leaving work on a summer night in 1970. Since that time, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau has been looking for the killer or killers of Alice Susan Vrablic, a 20-year- old Wappinger resident, said Capt. John Watterson.
