Road Rage: Walden Man Found Guilty In Crash That Killed 3, Injured 4 Others
A Hudson Valley man was convicted of manslaughter and assault in a 2021 rage incident where he rammed his Ford Escape into a van, killing three people and seriously injuring four others.
Orange County resident Anthony Jones, age 26, of Walden, was found guilty on Monday, Aug. 7, after a jury trial, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler.
Jones, who is being held at the Orange County Jail, faces five to 15 years in prison on the manslaughter charge and another seven years on the assault charges when he is sentenced in October, Hoovler said.

2 In Serious Condition After Being Struck By Car In Region
Two men from the region are in serious condition after being struck by a car while standing on the side of a roadway in the region.
The crash took place in Sullivan County around 1:30 p.m., Thursday, June 29 on Route 17 in the town of Thompson.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a Toyota Sienna was disabled on the right shoulder of the roadway, said Trooper Steven Nevel.

IDs Released For 4 Killed In Head-On Crash On Long Island's North Fork
The identities have been released of the four people who were killed in a head-on crash on Long Island's North Fork.
It happened at 11:33 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17 on Route 25 in the hamlet of East Marion in the town of Southold.
According to the Southold Town Police Department, the victims are:

A man was killed during a three-vehicle crash involving a dump truck in the Hudson Valley.
The crash took place around 5:03 p.m., Monday, Nov. 15, in Rockland County at the intersection of Route 303 and East Erie Street in Blauvelt.
A 2005 Mack commercial box truck driven by Orange County resident Andrew Roe, age 29, of Middletown, was traveling northbound on Route 303 when he collided with a 2019 Subaru Forrester, driven by Seymour Whynman, age 83, of Blauvelt, according to Orangetown Police Department Det. Authorities in Florida have searched an area after a deer camera captured a hiker resembling Brian Laundrie walking through a wilderness area.
Laundrie, age 23, is the missing boyfriend of Long Island native Gabby Petito, age 22, whose body was found on Sunday, Sept. 19 in Wyoming.
