36 Stolen Catalytic Converters Recovered In Hudson Valley Police in Westchester County recovered 36 stolen catalytic converters inside a suitcase and a vehicle after being tipped that the thieves may be in the area. The incident took place in New Rochelle on Tuesday, June 21. Detectives were alerted by the Real-Time Crime Center that a Dodge Challenger suspected of being used by catalytic converter thieves entered New Rochelle via I-95 at Exit 15, said Capt. J. 25-Year-Old Killed In Two-Vehicle Route 9 Crash A 25-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash that occurred on a stretch of Route 9 on early Saturday morning, April 13, in Putnam County. At approximately 6:20 a.m., state police responded to northbound Route 9 north of State Route 301 in Philipstown. An initial investigation found that a 2018 Dodge Challenger operated by Isaiah Byars, age 25, of Derry, NH, was northbound on Route 9, and for unknown reasons entered the southbound lane, state police said.  Byars’ vehicle then struck a southbound 2015 Jeep Cherokee, according to police.
