Snow Emergency Declared In Newburgh With Mother Nature expected to drop as much of a foot of snow in the Hudson Valley Wednesday, officials in Newburgh have declared a Snow Emergency, which will be in effect indefinitely. Newburgh City Manager Michael Ciaravino announced that after consulting with city officials, the Snow Emergency was declared, effective as of 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6. According to Ciaravino, a Snow Emergency automatically goes into effect any time there is a prediction of snow of more than two and a half inches.
