Covid-19: Here's Latest Rundown Of Orange County Cases By Community

There are nearly 1,500 active COVID-19 cases in Orange County as the Hudson Valley combats the second wave of the virus.

The state Department of Health reported that there were 209 newly confirmed cases in Orange County, with the number of active cases rising to 1,492. 

There have now been 17,283 COVID-19 confirmed positives reported in Orange County out of more than 300,000 tests administered, according to the Department of Health. 

Ninety-five COVID-19 patients are being treated in Orange County hospitals, with another four potential cases under investigation.

The overall 5.7 positive infection rate dipped slightly, but is still among the highest rates in the Hudson Valley.

New COVID-19 fatalities were reported in the county as the virus-related death toll rose to 534.

  • Goshen: 118;
  • Warwick: 112;
  • Newburgh: 109;

  • Monroe: 89;
  • Blooming Grove: 66;
  • Woodbury: 51;
  • Chester: 49;
  • Cornwall: 47;
  • Highlands: 34;
  • Wawayanda: 31;
  • Crawford: 28;
  • Minisink: 21;
  • Palm Tree: 19;
  • City of Port Jervis: 17;
  • Tuxedo: 17;
  • Hamptonburgh: 16;
  • Deerpark: 14.

There are no active cases in Greenville or Mount Hope.

In the latest data released by the state Department of Health, 146,675 COVID-19 tests were administered in New York on Tuesday, with 7,285 testing positive for the virus. The positive infection rate is at 4.96 percent and there are currently 3,774 COVID-19 patients in New York hospitals. Sixty-six new virus-related deaths were reported.

Statewide since the pandemic began, 647,980 positive COVID-19 cases have been confirmed out of 19.4 million who have been tested. There has been a total of 26,747 COVID-19 fatalities since the pandemic began.
