The New York State Police are investigating a serious vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley that injured six people and ejected two occupants, including a 12-year-old boy who had to be airlifted to a hospital. The incident took place in Orange County on Route 17 near Exit 119 in the town of Wallkill around 8:15 a.m., Friday, Sept. 1. A beloved home health care aide and mother from Northern Westchester is being remembered for her willingness to care for those most in need in addition to her joyful nature. Ossining native Annette Perez died on Wednesday, July 19 at the age of 51 after a battle with cancer, according to her obituary. Born in Valhalla in 1971, Perez graduated from Ossining High School and went on to work with Atria Senior Assisted Living, where she helped those who needed assistance most.
