Traffic Alert Issued For Road Construction In Irvington
A busy roadway in Westchester will be temporarily closed as contractors install a “rumble strip.” The Irvington Police Department announced that from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 25, only local traffic will be permitted on East Sunnyside Lane in Irvington to permit the Highway Department to install a centerline rumble strip along the narrow roadway. In response, there will be no through traffic permitted on East Sunnyside Lane from Broadway (Route 9) to Taxter Road. Motorists have been advised to avoid the area, when possible.
