New Bedford Playhouse Theater Announces Opening After three years of fundraising, planning and construction, Bedford Playhouse will open the doors to its 167-seat Main Theater, the largest of its three theaters, on Memorial Day Weekend. The box office will be open and the Playhouse will screen two films for the public that weekend: "Singin’ in the Rain" and "ET" at 633 Old Post Road.
