Authorities are investigating a road rage incident involving suspects in a Tesla firing a gunshot at a victim in Westchester. The incident happened on Sunday, July 30 around 7:15 a.m., when Mount Vernon Police responded to the 200 block of South Fifth Avenue, where a vehicle had been hit with gunshots. According to Mount Vernon city officials, officers arriving in the area soon found the victim, a Mount Vernon resident, who had been fired at by suspects in a red Tesla. A 28-year-old man's decision to not pull over led to a more than two-hour chase throughout Westchester that finally ended with him in custody, police said. The incident began on Tuesday, May 23 just before 2 p.m. when Westchester County Police received a report that a BMW wanted by the New York City Police Department for fleeing officers was traveling on Westchester Avenue in Harrison. One suspect was apprehended by police in Westchester and another is at large following an armed home invasion overnight, police said. Investigators from the Mount Vernon Police Department responded to the area of South Sixth Avenue and West Third Street at approximately 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, where there was a report of a gunshot in the area.
