Feeling lucky? New Yorkers are being offered an extra incentive to go get the COVID-19 vaccine at select locations. Between Monday, May 24, and Friday, May 28, state residents who get vaccinated at 10 sites will be provided free lottery scratch-off tickets to anyone 18 and older. The tickets, sold by retailers across the state for $20 each, have a grand prize of $5 million. With the supply of the COVID-19 vaccines beginning to outweigh the demand in New York, mass vaccination sites are now accepting walk-in appointments for all adults across the state. New York Gov. Another hurdle has been removed for older New Yorkers seeking the COVID-19 vaccine. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that beginning on Friday, April 23, residents 60 years and older can enter any of the state’s 16 mass vaccination sites and receive a vaccine without having to schedule an appointment. “Today, we’re taking an additional step for people 60 years of age and older.
