Manhunt Underway For Prisoner Who Escapes Custody In Pelham A massive search is underway after a 22-year-old headed to the Westchester County Jail escaped custody. Isaiah Washington, 22, was being transported to the jail in a minivan in Mount Vernon when he managed to slip out of his handcuffs and run off in the area of Manor Ridge Road and Boston Post Road in Pelham overnight Saturday, May 25. Washington had reportedly asked for the handcuffs to be loosened. Multiple police agencies and K9 units joined in the search.
