High-Speed Chase Ends With Suspect Crashing Into Tree In Westchester: Police A 27-year-old man faces several charges after refusing to pull over and leading officers on a high-speed pursuit that ended with him crashing into a tree in Northern Westchester, police said.  The incident happened on Thursday, Sept. 28 around 1:30 p.m., when a Yorktown Police officer conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Veterans Road (Route 118) allegedly saw a car drive through a steady red traffic signal.
