Spilled Mercury From Antique Clock Causes Hazmat Cleanup In Larchmont Emergency cleanup crews were called into action after a large amount of mercury spilled from an antique clock in Westchester, creating a hazardous situation.  The incident happened on Monday, Aug. 14 just after 12:30 p.m., when the Larchmont Fire Department responded to an undisclosed location in the village for a reported hazardous materials leak.  According to the department, an investigation determined that a "significant quantity" of mercury had accidentally been spilled from an antique clock.  After this discovery, a perimeter was created to make sure no one entered the…
