New Rochelle Quarterback Showdown To Air On TV

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Viewers will soon be able to watch the four Westchester quarterbacks who participated in MSG Varsity’s Quarterback Showdown at New Rochelle High School in June.

MSG Varsity will air the event for the first time on Tuesday, July 17 at 7:30 p.m. It will also air at 9:30 p.m., 11:30 p.m. and 2 a.m.

Iona Prep’s Mario Biaggi, New Rochelle’s Khalil Edney, Stepinac’s Danny Hoffer and John Jay Cross River’s Tyler Keech were part of the pool of 25 quarterbacks who participated in the skills competition. Former New York Giants Phil Simms and Amani Toomer judged the event.

“It was an honor to be a judge at the first ever Tri-State Quarterback showdown,” said New York Giants veteran, Phil Simms. “I was really impressed by these student athletes and I enjoyed getting to talk to each of them and help them with their game. The tri-state has a great line-up of talent and I look forward to catching some of the games this fall on MSG Varsity.”

The showdown will re-air on Friday, July 20 at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, July 21 at 5 p.m. and Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 7:30 p.m.
