BALTIMORE, MD. -- Michael Hodgen picked a great time to score his first goal for Iona. The junior and transfer from Oregon State netted the decisive goal with eight minutes remaining in the game Sunday as Iona defeated host Loyola of Maryland in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference mens soccer game. The Gaels won their third consecutive game after losing to St. Johns and improved to 9-1. Freshman Ignacio Maganto had a goal and two assists. He set up Hodgens winner and also fed Franklin Castellanos.
