The contest gave Westchester and Rockland county students in grades five to eight a chance to show how solar power makes the Earth a better place.
The students were invited to create an original piece of artwork or take a photograph that demonstrated how solar power can help us save energy and reduce carbon footprint.
Teacher Sara Glickman was Cecilia's mentor in the contest, which was sponsored by Sunrise Solar Solutions LLC.
