New Rochelle Building Jumper ID'd, Ruled Suicide By Medical Examiner

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – A New Rochelle man died on Wednesday after he reportedly took a plunge from a six-story apartment building.

According to multiple reports, shortly before 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning, police responded to a brick building on Main Street, landing on a local walkway in between a neighboring structure.

Police confirmed that the victim was Stephen Knapic, 54, a tenant in the building, leapt to his death from the top floor in what the Westchester County Medical Examiner's office called a suicide. Knapid was pronounced dead on the scene by first responders.
