NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Tomi Laureta Louis of New Rochelle died Nov. 15. She was 80.
Louis was born May 21, 1934, in West Palm Beach, Florida, to Caleb Hawkins, Jr. and Mami Lou Hawkins. She worked formerly as a bookkeeper.
Louis is survived by her husband, Edward; children, Pamela, Lisa (Reginald) Burton, Ellen, Errol (Juanita Scarlett) and Edward; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews; cousins; and extended family. She was predeceased by her siblings, Clarence, Carrie, Earl, Dorothy, Donald, Warren and Reynolds.
Calling hours are at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21 at the Barney T. McClanahan Funeral Home, 30 Winthrop Ave., New Rochelle. A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 22, at Shiloh Baptist Church, 185 Lincoln Ave., New Rochelle.
